dc.descriptionIn this paper, it will be exposed the case of a teennager who presents anxiety symptoms and whether this emotion is influencing on her academic performance. It contains the research line of the career "Prevention and Diagnosis", and its sub-line of research " Behavioral disorders and their impact on the teaching-learning process”.The case study was carried out with a qualitative methodological approach, which was of main importance to start from the general to the particular, in order to get a better understanding of the problem to be worked on, as well as the psychological approach from the cognitive-behavioral approach. It is worth mentioning that it presents an exploratory research scope that will be highlighted within the development of the case study, which includes its due justification, theoretical support, applied techniques, results obtained and conclusion. Anxiety normally manifests when the person is in a state of real threat, however, it is not normal when it is present when only the mind creates that threat without any external stimulus. From the CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) psychological approach, this emotion is caused by the presence of automatic thoughts. Academic performance is the way in which the student responds to the tasks assigned within the educational field. The direct beneficiary will be the university community of psychologists, since the case study proposes a tentative therapeutic scheme for intervention in anxiety disorders. There were applied four hours of psychological interviews in total, where the respective diagnosis was made: Generalized Anxiety Disorder with code F41. dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo se dará a conocer el caso de una adolescente que presenta síntomas de ansiedad y si esta está influyendo en el rendimiento académico, contiene la línea de investigación de la carrera “prevención y diagnóstico”, y su sub-línea de investigación “trastornos del comportamiento y su impacto en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje”. El estudio de caso se realizó con un enfoque metodológico cualitativo donde fue de gran importancia partir de lo general a lo particular, para tener un mayor entendimiento de la problemática que se va a trabajar, así como el abordaje psicológico desde el enfoque cognitivo conductual, también cabe mencionar que presenta un alcance de investigación exploratorio que se pondrá en relieve dentro del desarrollo del estudio de caso el cual consta con su debida justificación, sustentos teóricos, técnicas aplicadas, resultados obtenidos y conclusión. La ansiedad es normal que aparezca cuando alguien se encuentra en una situación de amenaza real, pero no es normal cuando se hace presente en momentos que sólo la mente crea esa amenaza sin que haya un estímulo exterior. Desde el enfoque psicológico TCC, esta emoción es causada por la presencia de pensamientos automáticos. El rendimiento académico es la forma en cómo responde el estudiante a las tareas encomendadas dentro del área educativo. El beneficiario directo será la comunidad universitaria de psicólogos, ya que el estudio de caso propone un tentativo esquema terapéutico para la intervención en los trastornos de ansiedad. Fueron 4 el total de entrevistas psicológicas aplicadas, en donde se realizó el respectivo diagnóstico: Trastorno de Ansiedad Generalizada con código F41.
