dc.descriptionThe present work aims to analyze the use of probiotics, especially bacillus subtilis, as a better alternative to antibiotics in the diet of broilers, considered one of the main protein sources in Ecuador. Research studies related to the subject were used such as "Effect of the use of Bacillus subtilis probiotics in different concentrations, on slaughter weight in broilers" and "Effect of bacillus subtilis on blood metabolites and productive parameters in broilers", among others , each one with different concentrations of probiotics and groups of animals as evidence, where it was shown that the use of bacillus subtilis does have significant effects on the development of the animal, emphasizing that it depends on factors such as: the concentration of probiotics, animal health , type of strains, composition of probiotic, etc. Also addressing issues related to other types and mechanisms of action of probiotics. In a study carried out by Velez in 2019 called "Effect of the use of probiotics Bacillus subtilis in different concentrations, on the slaughter weight in broilers", where it was obtained that the animals administered with B. subtilis at a higher concentration (t3) had a weight of 2.71kg compared to the control (t0) who did not have any concentration of probiotic that presented 2.26kg, resulting in that the treatment with the highest concentration of B. subtilis had a greater weight than the one that did not have the same.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tiene como finalidad analizar el uso de probióticos, especialmente el bacillus subtilis, como una mejor alternativa frente al antibiótico dentro de la dieta de los pollos de engorde, considerada una de las fuentes de proteínas principales en el Ecuador. Se utilizaron trabajos investigativos relacionados al tema como “Efecto del uso de probióticos Bacillus subtilis en diferentes concentraciones, sobre el peso al sacrificio en pollos de engorde” y “Efecto de bacillus subtilis sobre metabolitos sanguíneos y parámetros productivos en pollo de engorde”, entre otros, cada uno con distintas concentraciones de probióticos y grupos de animales como prueba, en donde se demostró que el uso de bacillus subtilis si tiene efectos significativos sobre el desarrollo del animal, recalcando que depende de factores como: la concentración de probióticos, salud del animal, tipo de cepas, composición de probiótico, etc. También abordando temas relacionados con otros tipos y mecanismos de acción de los probióticos. En un estudio realizado por Velez en el 2019 llamado “Efecto del uso de probióticos Bacillus subtilis en diferentes concentraciones, sobre el peso al sacrificio en pollos de engorde”, donde se obtuvo que los animales administrados con B. subtilis a mayor concentración (t3) contaron con un peso de 2,71kg frente al testigo (t0) que no tenía ninguna concentración de probiótico 2,26kg, dando como resultado que el tratamiento con mayor concentración de B. subtilis tuvo mayor peso que el que no contaba con el mismo.es_ES
