dc.description | Banana cultivation grows in varied climatic conditions and soil, it adapts in all tropical regions, it reproduces from strains or offspring, it has a fundamental importance in the economy of many developing countries. In Ecuador, banana cultivation is one of the main exported crops to the European countries and the USA. Banana is produced in the provinces of Manabí, Los Ríos, Guayas, El Oro and Esmeraldas. In 2015, the production of banana boxes per hectare increased by 5% compared to the previous year. Global production of bananas and plantains is threatened by a new breed of the fungus Fusarium oxysporum, the causative agent of Fusarium Wilt, which is particularly devastating because it causes symptoms of wilt and death of the plant and remains for decades in the soil, making it difficult to control. Fusarium wilt is also transmitted by the soil. Is considered as one of the most destructive banana diseases in the world. The main problem is that Ecuador is not prepared to face the Fusarium disease, what has been implemented is contingency programs in the producer farms in conjunction with AGROCALIDAD. Therefore, the objective of this document is to determine the Management of Fusarium oxysporum Race 4 in banana cultivation (Musa, AAA) at Elbas farm. Currently in Ecuador, the Gros Michel variety is attaked by race 1 Fusarium disease. To detect the presence of this disease, the phytosanitary department of the Elbas farm usually take plant samples and estimate the symptoms of the Panama disease, in order to rule out the possible entry of the fungus into the farm. It is essential to make applications to prevent disease and develop cultural activities without delay. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
