Tourism is one of the most important economic activities worldwide because of the income it generates, the number of jobs created, the progress and inclusion of local communities, the movement of people, among other aspects that are undoubtedly positive. However, this means that the impacts of the activity, from the consumption of resources and waste production, are also increasing. The environment is a system formed by natural and artificial elements that are interrelated and modified by human action. It is the environment that determines the way of life of society and that includes natural, social and cultural values that exist in a particular place and time. From this vision, Ecuador seeks to maintain the sustainable balance which does not affect the growing development of peoples in the tourist fields between environment and productive societies, in this aspect Ecuador is strategically sold to the tourist world, as "Country of four worlds", which has become in recent years the potential productive and sustainable alternative of the evolutionary society, which is considered as a change of the productive matrix, seeking the economic enhancement of this activity, being placed in fourth place in reference to income of non-oil currencies.es_ES
