The present investigation was carried out in the parish capital of Pimampiro, Province of Imbabura, whose theme was: " Analysis of kidney tomato production of tomato kidney (Solanum Iycopersicum), whose obtetives were: Analyze the investment costs that a tomato farmer; Identify which kidney tomato varieties are most commercialized in the area of Pimampiro and Imbabura; analyze about the profitability that producers have when growing tomato kidney under greenhouse The information was obtained by making a literature review to know better about the production, marketing and profitability of the crop in the provincial and cantonal area of Imbabura in the countryside a survey was applied to 5 producers in the area to strengthen bibliographic information and know the actions in the field and sale in the wholesale market. From the information obtained they answered that, 60 % sow less than one hectare and 40 % sow between 1 and 2 ha, no producer sows an area greater than 2 ha, because large areas are very expensive to implement, land tenure 80 % sow on their own land and 20 % leasing, 100 % of the producers do it under greenhouse, the seed they use for their excellent characteristics, production and appreciation in the market is the Pietro followed by Charleston and Fortuna, the activities that are made in the crop are technified because they are under greenhouse and this influences investment costs that are high correspond from 4,80 USD to 4.50 / USD / box in each crop cycle, 70 % keep a production record for make better decisions in terms of reducing production costs, the profitability fluctuantes according to the market and the quality of the product, now sale is 9.9 USD / box the first and second, in 5 USD / box in t ercera and 3,20 USD the fourth.

La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en la capital de la parroquia de Pimampiro, provincia de Imbabura, cuyo tema fue: "Análisis de la producción del tomate riñon (Solanum Iycopersicum), cuyos resultados fueron: Analizar los costos de inversión que un agricultor de tomates; Identificar qué variedades de tomate de riñón se comercializan más en el área de Pimampiro e Imbabura; analice la rentabilidad que tienen los productores cuando cultivan riñón de tomate en invernadero. La información se obtuvo al hacer una revisión de la literatura para conocer mejor la producción, comercialización y rentabilidad del cultivo. en el área provincial y cantonal de Imbabura en el campo se aplicó una encuesta a 5 productores en el área para fortalecer la información bibliográfica y conocer las acciones en el campo y la venta en el mercado mayorista. De la información obtenida respondieron que, el 60 % sembraron menos de una hectárea y 40 % de siembra entre 1 y 2 ha, ningún productor siembra un área mayor de 2 ha, Debido a que las grandes áreas son muy costosas de implementar, la tenencia de la tierra es 80 % sembrada en su propia tierra y 20 % de arrendamiento, el 100 % de los productores lo hacen bajo invernadero, la semilla que usan por sus excelentes características, producción y apreciación en el mercado es la Pietro seguido por Charleston y Fortuna, las actividades que se realizan en el cultivo están tecnificadas porque están bajo invernadero y esto influye en los costos de inversión que son altos, desde 4,80 USD hasta 4.50 / USD en cada ciclo de cultivo, el 70 % mantiene una producción récord para tomar mejores decisiones en términos de reducir los costos de producción, la rentabilidad fluctúa de acuerdo con el mercado y la calidad del producto, ahora la venta es 9. 9USD / box el primero y el segundo, en 5 USD / box in tercera y 3,20 USD el cuarto.
