dc.descriptionThis Research Report delves into the development of critical reading and its impact on the Meaningful Learning of Students of the School of Basic Education "Vicente Rocafuerte" Quevedo Canton Province de los Rios. Currently educators face serious problems due to low academic level with some students, they reflect poor development in their critical reading skills and logical reasoning hurting obtaining a good meaningful learning inside and outside the classroom. Critical reading is an invaluable teaching technique that allows the student to discover the underlying ideas and information that exists within a text, achieving the full development of their skills within the critical, analytical and active understanding. Educators today must form a reading culture - critical applying methodologies, techniques and andragogic learning solutions that encourage students to develop reading habits. The research work starts by placing in context the causes and consequences of the problem, the objectives to achieve a theoretical framework based on cognitive science of learning that reinforce the definitions of the two variables, critical reading independent variable and dependent variable Meaningful Learning. The methodology used in research, is based on the types of research and these are bibliographic, field and Descriptive, the methods applied are deductive, inductive, and statistician. dc.description.abstractEl presente Informe Investigativo se profundiza en el desarrollo de la lectura crítica y su Incidencia en el Aprendizaje Significativo de los Estudiantes de la Escuela de Educación Básica “Vicente Rocafuerte” del Cantón Quevedo Provincia de los Ríos. Actualmente los educadores enfrentan graves problemas, debido al bajo nivel académico que tienen algunos estudiantes, los mismos que reflejan un deficiente desarrollo en sus destrezas de lectura crítica y en el razonamiento lógico perjudicando la obtención de un buen aprendizaje significativo dentro y fuera del aula de clases. La lectura crítica es una técnica de enseñanza invaluable que permite al estudiante descubrir ideas e información subyacente que existe dentro de un texto, logrando el pleno desarrollo de sus habilidades dentro de la comprensión crítica, analítica y activa. Los educadores en la actualidad deben formar una cultura lectora - crítica aplicando metodologías, técnicas y soluciones didácticas andragógicas que motiven a los estudiantes a desarrollar hábitos de lectura. El trabajo investigativo inicia ubicando en un contexto las causas y consecuencias del problema, los objetivos a conseguir, un marco teórico fundamentado en ciencias cognitivas de aprendizaje que reforzarán las definiciones de las dos variables, variable independiente lectura crítica, y variable dependiente Aprendizaje Significativo. La metodología que se usó en la investigación, está basada en los tipos de investigación y estos son bibliográfico, De campo y Descriptivo, los métodos que se aplicaron son deductivo, inductivo, y estadístico.
