dc.descriptionThe research carried out at the Jorge Icaza Delgado educational unit aims to determine parenting styles and their influence on the socio-affective development of students. To do so, a mixed approach was chosen that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The different parenting styles authoritative, authoritarian and permissive are analyzed and how they affect the emotional and social skills of children, covering their ability to express emotions, resolve conflicts and build interpersonal relationships. The study includes surveys of parents, which allows obtaining a comprehensive view of parenting practices and their connection with the emotional well-being of students. Detailing that children raised under an authoritative style present a considerable and positive impact on the socio-affective development of children. Based on the research, children raised under an authoritative style present a more balanced socio-affective development, demonstrating superior social and emotional skills. In contrast, those who come from homes with authoritarian or permissive styles face greater difficulties in managing their emotions and establishing positive connections with their peers. In conclusion, the research highlights that consistent, communicative and caring parenting is essential for healthy child development. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between parents and students to strengthen socio-emotional well-being in the educational environment.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa investigación a cabo en la unidad educativa Jorge Icaza Delgado tiene como propósito determinar los estilos parentales y su influencia en el desarrollo socioafectivo de los estudiantes. Para ello se optó un enfoque mixto que combina métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se analizan los distintos estilos de crianza autoritativo, autoritario y permisivo y como afecta en las habilidades emocionales y sociales de los niños, abarcando su capacidad para expresar emociones, resolver conflictos y forjar relaciones interpersonales. El estudio incluye encuestas a los padres lo que permite obtener una visión integral sobre las prácticas de crianza y su conexión con el bienestar emocional de los estudiantes. Detallando que los niños criados bajo un estilo autoritativo presentan una incidencia considerable y positiva en cuanto al desarrollo socioafectivo de los infantes. En base a la investigación los niños criados bajo un estilo autoritativo presentan un desarrollo socioafectivo más equilibrado, demostrando superiores habilidades sociales y emocionales. En contraste, aquellos que provienen de hogares con estilos autoritarios o permisivos enfrentan mayores dificultades para manejar sus emociones y establecer conexiones positivas con sus compañeros. En conclusión, la investigación subraya que una crianza consistente, comunicativa y afectiva es fundamental para el desarrollo saludable de los niños. Además, destaca la importancia de la colaboración entre padres y estudiantes para fortalecer el bienestar socioemocional en el entorno educativo.es_ES
