dc.descriptionThis project focuses on analyzing the influence of assertiveness in the management of social skills of students in the third year of the unified general high school at the Jesús Martínez Esquerecocha school in the city of Babahoyo. With this purpose, it should be emphasized that assertiveness is an ability that allows individuals to balance their thoughts with tranquility, security and respect, in addition to providing highly developed social skills, since it helps maintain effective communication which avoids psychosocial problems. allowing healthy and stable bonds to exist. To carry out this study, a mixed approach was used, the research type being descriptive since the phenomenon was only observed as it occurred within the context and not experimental because the variables were not manipulated, in addition to using the cross-sectional design due to that the data were collected at a single moment. Two scales were applied: the Multidimensional Assertiveness Scale to determine levels of assertiveness, and the Social Skills Scale to measure social skills. Likewise, a semi-structured interview was carried out with the tutors to provide the information acquired through the scales. As a result, it is obtained that students who present high assertiveness show better social skills, in addition to maintaining healthy interrelationships and certainly appropriate control when resolving conflicts with others. For this reason, it is essential to influence this skill in the school context through educational programs, workshops and even constant monitoring by their tutors.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto se enfoca en analizar la influencia de la asertividad en la gestión de las habilidades sociales de los estudiantes del tercero de bachillerato general unificado del colegio Jesús Martínez Esquerecocha de la ciudad de Babahoyo. Con ese propósito cabe recalcar que la asertividad, es una aptitud que concede a los individuos equilibrar sus pensamientos con tranquilidad, seguridad y respeto, además de otorgar unas habilidades sociales muy desarrolladas, ya que ayuda a mantener una comunicación eficaz lo cual evita problemas psicosociales, permitiendo que exista vínculos saludables y estables. Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se utilizó un enfoque mixto, siendo el tipo investigación descriptivo ya que solo se observó el fenómeno tal y como ocurrió dentro del contexto y no experimental porque no se manipularon las variables, además de utilizar el diseño transversal debido a que se recogieron los datos en un solo momento. Se aplicó dos escalas: la Escala Multidimensional de Asertividad para determinar los niveles de asertividad, y la Escala de Habilidades Sociales para medir las habilidades sociales. Así mismo, se efectuó una entrevista semiestructurada a los tutores para aportar con la información adquirida mediante las escalas. Como resultado se obtiene que los estudiantes que presentan asertividad alta, muestran mejores habilidades sociales, además de mantener interrelaciones saludables y ciertamente un control apropiado al momento de resolver conflictos con los demás. Por este motivo es indispensable influenciar esta habilidad en el contexto escolar mediante programas educativos, talleres e incluso un seguimiento constante por parte de sus tutores.es_ES
