dc.description | Bullying is a serious problem that affects the mental health of students in educational institutions, and the Babahoyo Educational Unit is no exception. This research seeks to analyze the consequences of bullying in ninth and tenth grade students, addressing the most prevalent types of Bullying (physical, verbal, social and cybernetic) and its effects on mental health. A quantitative approach was used through surveys that collected data on the frequency and intensity of the variable, along with standardized psychometric tests such as the Beck Anxiety Scale (BAI), the Beck Depression Scale (BDI) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The sample was made up of ninth and tenth grade students. The results indicate that verbal (51.1%) is the most common, followed by social (35.6%), physical (30.0%) and cybernetic (23.3%). The effects on the mental health of students are evident, showing high levels of anxiety, depression and low self-esteem in those affected. These findings highlight the need to implement educational programs that promote an aggression-free school environment, focusing on raising awareness about language and social interactions, as well as psychological support for students. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
