dc.description | In the present experimental investigation, the purpose of this research was to detect the prevalence of Canine Demodicosis in dogs that live in the Los Mirtos citadel of the Vinces canton, Los Ríos Province. By taking 60 samples of deep skin tissue for microscopic examination with the deep skin scraping technique, establishing evaluation parameters in canines by breed, sex, age, taking into account the time that the owners have not taken care of their pets, under these factors the positive and negative load of the demodectic mange mite of each individual will be studied and described. After developing this research, the following results were obtained; The results of the study showed that, of the total number of canines sampled, including 32 males and 28 females, of which the percentage of negativity in males was 53% and in females 47%, therefore, the population of canines sampled was 100% negative for canine demodicosis, which represents an absence of the Demodex canis mite. In breed, 0% positive and 100% negative, in sex: males 53% negative and 47% negative in females. Therefore, no significant differences were found in the risk factors analyzed by means of the non-parametric Person Chi Square test (χ²), such as age, sex, so it can be said that relevant information is offered for the management and control of the Demodex canis mite, contributing to the improvement of animal health and their development. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
