To achieve the planned objectives, methods from the theoretical level and the empirical level of scientific research were applied, using mathematical and statistical methods to process the results obtained. La comunicación de los padres y su influencia en la adaptación social de los niños/as de segundo grado de Educación Básica, de la Unidad Educativa Juan León Mera, de la ciudad de Quevedo, provincia de ¨Los Ríos¨, durante el año 2012-2013, presenta un contenido importante, pues revela de una forma sencilla, pero con elevado nivel científico el vínculo que se establece la actividad de la comunicación a la sociedad. Para darle cumplimiento a los objetivos previstos, se aplicaron métodos del nivel teórico y del nivel empírico de la investigación científica, utilizándose métodos matemáticos y estadísticos para procesar los resultados obtenidos.
