dc.descriptionThe province of Los Ríos in Ecuador has great tourism potential due to its cultural wealth and biodiversity. Experiential tourism offers authentic experiences in local communities, but faces challenges such as lack of infrastructure, public services, and community resistance to change. Experiential tourism in Los Ríos can generate economic and social development, promoting local culture and respect for the environment. It is crucial to strengthen the social fabric and attract tourists interested in authentic experiences. A mixed methodology (qualitative and quantitative) was used, including semi-structured interviews with tourism professionals and focus groups with residents and visitors from the different cantons. Structured surveys captured opinions on the impact of experiential tourism, and a thematic and statistical analysis was carried out to identify patterns and trends of experiential tourism, for community integrationes_ES

dc.description.abstractLa provincia de Los Ríos en Ecuador tiene un gran potencial turístico debido a su riqueza cultural y biodiversidad. El turismo vivencial ofrece experiencias auténticas en comunidades locales, pero enfrenta desafíos como la falta de infraestructura, servicios públicos y la resistencia comunitaria al cambio. El turismo vivencial en Los Ríos puede generar desarrollo económico y social, promoviendo la cultura local y el respeto al medio ambiente. Es crucial para fortalecer el tejido social y atraer turistas interesados en experiencias auténticas. Se utilizó una metodología mixta (cualitativa y cuantitativa), incluyendo entrevistas semiestructuradas a profesionales del turismo y grupos focales con residentes y visitantes de los diferentes cantones. Las encuestas estructuradas captaron las opiniones sobre el impacto del turismo vivencial, y se realizó un análisis temático y estadístico para identificar patrones y tendencias del turismo vivencial, para la integración de la comunidad.es_ES
