dc.description | The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of stress on the work performance of administrative officials of the Technical University of Babahoyo, with the objective of knowing the stressors experienced by administrative workers and based on the results obtained, recommend strategies for coping to improve the work performance of officials. Stress, like other psychological and physical effects, generates a series of problems in the individual's daily life, and even more so when we speak from the workplace, where problems such as overloading with activities, pressure from supervisors and Other aspects have significantly influenced the development of workers' capabilities and skills. That is why for this study we worked with 50 administrative officials from the Technical University of Babahoyo. For this study, a type of descriptive research was used, which allowed us to describe the characteristics of the population under study. The design was non-experimental and cross-sectional, because the independent variable was not manipulated and the reagents or tests were carried out. in a given time. A methodology with a quantitative approach was used, because the data obtained was interpreted through tables and graphs. Among the evaluation instruments applied are: ILO-WHO Work Stress Questionnaire and the Work Performance Questionnaire, which resulted, according to the work stress questionnaire, in a high level of stress in the dimensions organizational structure, influence of the leader, support of the group of workers, lack of cohesion and problems in interpersonal relationships, which had a significant impact on the work performance of the officials, mainly in their positions, in activities as an initiative towards an improvement in the organization. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El propósito de la presente investigación fue determinar la influencia del estrés en el desempeño laboral de los funcionarios administrativos de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, con el objetivo de conocer los factores estresantes que experimentan los trabajadores administrativos y en base a los resultados obtenidos recomendar estrategias de afrontamiento para mejorar el desempeño laboral los funcionarios. El estrés al igual que otra afectación a nivel psicológico y físico genera una serie de problemas en la vida cotidiana del individuo, y más cuando hablamos desde el ámbito laboral, en donde la problemática como la sobrecargar de actividades, presión por parte de los supervisores y otros aspectos han influido de manera significativa en el desarrollo de capacidades y habilidades de los trabajadores. Es por ello que para este estudio se trabajó con 50 funcionarios administrativos de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo. Para este estudio, se utilizó un tipo de investigación descriptiva, la cual permitió describir las características de la población objeto de estudio, el diseño fue no experimental de tipo transversal, debido a que no se manipulo la variable independiente y los reactivos o test fueron realizados en un tiempo determinado. Se utilizó una metodología con enfoque cuantitativo, debido a que se interpretó los datos obtenidos mediante tablas y gráficas. Entre los instrumentos de evaluación aplicados están: Cuestionario sobre el estrés laboral de la OIT-OMS y el Cuestionario de desempeño laboral, mismo que dieron como resultado de acuerdo al cuestionario de estrés laboral, un nivel de estrés alto, en las dimensiones estructura organizacional, influencia de líder, respaldo de grupo de trabajadores, falta de cohesión y problemas en las relaciones interpersonales, misma que tuvieron una afectación significativa en el desempeño laboral de los funcionarios, principalmente en sus cargos, en actividades como iniciativa hacia una mejora en la organización. | es_ES |
