| dc.description | The objective of the research project was to determine how Community Participation influences the Sustainable Development of Community Tourism in the Salinas de Guaranda Parish. To this end, the methods used to promote participation in decision-making and the techniques used to promote sustainable development from an environmental, economic and social point of view were analyzed. Among the problems addressed, poor community planning was found that causes disorganization in management, poor management of resources and loss of cultural identity, as well as the lack of empowerment of the community in the application of sustainable actions that contribute to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants and to achieve real sustainable development, a clear approach is needed where the participation of each of the citizens of the different communities is promoted, with the purpose of guaranteeing that growth is inclusive and equitable. Through research, effective strategies were proposed to encourage active and meaningful participation of communities in decision-making and the implementation of sustainable development initiatives. A qualitative and quantitative methodology was used, which was based on conducting interviews and surveys with various actors involved in community participation and sustainable development of the Salinas de Guaranda Parish, to understand in depth the Participation of Communities in the Development of the Community Tourism; Based on the information obtained, the SWOT matrix was developed with the objective of designing sustainable strategies. The importance of understanding the perspectives and opinions of local communities, government authorities, environmental organizations and other relevant actors in relation to the Sustainable Development of the Parish is recognized. The results obtained will provide appropriate recommendations to strengthen community participation as a primary pillar for the sustainable development of community tourism in the Salinas de Guaranda Parish. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar cómo influye la Participación Comunitaria en el Desarrollo Sostenible del Turismo Comunitario de la Parroquia Salinas de Guaranda. Con este fin, se analizó los métodos utilizados para impulsar la participación en la toma de decisiones y las técnicas empleadas para fomentar el desarrollo sostenible desde un punto de vista ambiental, económico y social. Entre la problemática abordada se encontró una deficiente planificación comunitaria que provoca desorganización en la gestión, mal manejo de los recursos y pérdida de la identidad cultural, también el escaso empoderamiento de la comunidad en la aplicación de acciones sostenibles que contribuyan a mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes y para lograr un desarrollo sostenible real se necesita un enfoque claro en donde se promueva la participación de cada uno de los ciudadanos de las diferentes comunidades, con el propósito de garantizar que el crecimiento sea inclusivo y equitativo. A través de la investigación se propusieron estrategias efectivas para fomentar una participación activa y significativa de las comunidades en la toma de decisiones y la implementación de iniciativas de desarrollo sostenible. Se empleó una metodología cualitativa y cuantitativa, que se basó en la realización de entrevistas y encuestas a diversos actores involucrados en la participación comunitaria y el desarrollo sostenible de la Parroquia Salinas de Guaranda, para conocer a profundidad la Participación de las Comunidades en el Desarrollo del Turismo Comunitario; a partir de la información obtenida se elaboró la matriz FODA con el objetivo de diseñar estrategias sostenibles. Se reconoció la importancia de comprender las perspectivas y opiniones de las comunidades locales, autoridades gubernamentales, organizaciones ambientales y otros actores relevantes en relación al Desarrollo Sostenible de la Parroquia. Los resultados obtenidos proporcionaron las recomendaciones adecuadas para fortalecer la participación comunitaria como pilar primordial para el desarrollo sostenible del turismo comunitario en la Parroquia Salinas de Guaranda. | es_ES |
