dc.description | Physical education is a fundamental component in the development of students, particularly during the secondary education stage. This study focuses on investigating the impact of physical education on the physical development of second-year high school students at the "Abdón Calderón Muñoz" Educational Unit.
A mixed-methods research approach was adopted in this study, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Objective measurements of the students' physical condition were taken, in addition to surveys and interviews to better understand their perceptions and experiences with physical education.
Techniques such as thematic analysis were employed to identify and categorize recurring themes in the qualitative data. Structured questionnaires were also used to collect quantitative data on the perception, frequency, and types of physical activities performed by the students.
The results revealed a significant correlation between active participation in physical education classes and positive physical development in second-year high school students. This correlation was evident in aspects such as improved physical condition, health, and overall well-being of the students.
This study provides a comprehensive view of the impact of physical education on the physical development of adolescents. It highlights the importance of integrating effective and well-designed physical education programs into the school curriculum to promote optimal physical development and a healthy lifestyle among students.
Additionally, practical recommendations are offered to improve the quality of physical education at the "Abdón Calderón Muñoz" Educational Unit and other similar educational institutions. These recommendations aim to facilitate an environment conducive to the physical development and well-being of students. | es_ES |
