dc.description | Currently, the "Holger Montenegro Molina" Educational Unit of the Buena Fe Canton faces significant challenges in the development of comprehensive reading in children in third grade of basic education. Improving this skill is crucial not only for students' academic success, but also for their future personal and professional development. Key strategies have been identified to address these challenges, including the implementation of innovative approaches that foster a love of reading and promote critical thinking and analytical skills. In addition, we will seek to integrate comprehensive reading in all areas of the school curriculum, recognizing its transversal importance in learning. The active participation of the educational community, including parents, teachers and staff, is essential in this process of continuous improvement. The justification for these strategies is based on the need to improve academic performance, prepare children for their academic and professional future, and promote a love of reading.
