Organic fertilizers are a valuable and sustainable alternative to improve plant nutrition and promote soil health in agriculture. Derived from natural materials such as compost, manure, and plant residues, these fertilizers offer a range of significant benefits compared to chemical fertilizers. Firstly, organic fertilizers enhance soil structure by increasing its porosity and water retention capacity, facilitating root growth, and promoting beneficial microbial activity. Additionally, organic fertilizers release nutrients gradually and steadily, providing a constant nutrient supply over time and reducing the risk of leaching and water contamination. Moreover, organic fertilizers contribute to soil biodiversity by creating a favorable environment for various beneficial organisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and earthworms, which aid in decomposing organic matter and improving nutrient availability for plants. In other words, organic fertilizers are an invaluable tool for promoting sustainability in agriculture by enhancing plant nutrition, maintaining soil health, and reducing the environmental impact of agricultural production. Their adoption and promotion can significantly contribute to a more environmentally friendly and resilient agriculture in the long term.es_ES
