dc.descriptionAt the Animalive veterinary center in the city of Durán-Ecuador, the incidence of positive cases of Canine Parvovirus (CPV-2) was measured in dogs in home conditions with a variety of breed, sex and age by taking a total of 50 swab samples. . rectal, under a Completely Randomized Design (DCA); in addition to being subjected to an analysis of variance for differences (ADEVA) and measurement separation according to the Tukey test at the significance levels of (P ≤0.05 and P ≤0.01). Obtaining in the results there is a prevalence of 34% of dogs positive for CPV-2, the most affected breeds being Doberman, Pitbull and German Shepherd with a higher incidence in male puppies under 4 months (58.82%) and in contrast a 66% of canes with zero incidence of CPV-2. Therefore, it is concluded that the prevalence and incidence in this residential area of Durán is lower than other areas of the province and the country according to other authors.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn el centro veterinario Animalove en la cuidad de Durán-Ecuador, se midió la incidencia de casos positivos de Parvovirus Canino (CPV-2) en perros en condición de hogar con variedad en raza, sexo y edad tomando un total de 50 muestras de hisopados rectales, bajo un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA); además de ser sometidos a un análisis de varianza para las diferencias (ADEVA) y separación de medida según la prueba de Tukey a los niveles de significancia de (P ≤0.05 y P ≤0.01). Obteniendo en los resultados existe una prevalencia del 34% de perros positivos para CPV-2, siendo las razas más afectadas Doberman, Pitbull y Pastor Aleman con una incidencia mayor en cachorros machos menores de 4 meses (58.82%) y y por contraste un 66% de canes con incidencia nula de CPV-2. Por lo cual se concluye que la prevalencia e incidencia en esta zona residencial de Durán, es menor a otras zonas de la provincia y del país según otros autores.es_ES
