dc.description | This document seeks to investigate the Characterization of the Mildew disease (Peronospora variabilis) in the cultivation of Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) in Ecuador. Downy mildew is the main dangerous disease that directly affects the leaves causing significant damage if not managed properly. This disease originates in soils with high temperatures and humidity, causes premature defoliation and its high dose in sowing allows microclimates to form and therefore spread. Thus reducing development and productivity. In the country, quinoa is an important food for the mountain region; place where it is grown, being an internal and external product. It contains nutritional characteristics; it has vitamins necessary for humans. Given the need to increase the production of this crop, it is necessary to have extensive knowledge about it, know the correct preparation of the soil and choice of seed, in order to have greater productivity and yield because it is a safety product. both national and international food. This investigative document, presented as a practical component, was developed through the compilation of various sources of information. With an exploratory and explanatory methodology. In conclusion, it can be mentioned how this disease can be combated given that it causes significant losses in production, allowing through this research to obtain information necessary for correct planting, development and obtaining of the product with a certain safety and quality | es_ES |

| es_ES |
