dc.description | The order Hymenoptera is made up of 2 suborders, 27 superfamilies, 132 families and a total of 8423 genera and records a total of close to 16 thousand existing described species. The main representatives of this order are ants, bees and wasps. Preserving favorable environments for the reproduction and nesting of wasps that prey on insect pests is a friendly and environmentally friendly control alternative. Wasps are explorers and voracious predators of lepidopteran pests such as S. frugiperda. The objective of this research is to describe the biological aspects of predatory wasp species as a control agent for Spodoptera frugiperda. Since the use of biological control focused on vespids as a mitigating agent for S. frugiperda in corn cultivation demonstrated significant efficiency in reducing the population of this pest. The information obtained has shown a decrease in the density of S. frugiperda larvae in plots where vespids were introduced. The potential positive impact of the use of vespids has been highlighted in terms of agricultural sustainability and environmental conservation, by reducing dependence on chemical pesticides and promoting biodiversity in agroecosystems. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
