| dc.description | The present case study is titled tourist activities as a social inclusion strategy aimed at gerontological social tourism where its objective is to analyze the tourist activities that function as a social inclusion strategy in the Ventanas canton. For this, a non-experimental cross-sectional research was used, with a quantitative approach because the data was collected and analyzed from a survey which allowed capturing the perception of older adults about their participation in tourist activities, it was also used as a population, older adults residing in the canton, where a non-probabilistic convenience sampling was applied, which allowed the participants to be chosen in a non-random manner, using specific criteria such as convenience, availability or accessibility, thus the sample was made up of 20 adults. older people from the town of the Ventanas canton. | dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso se titula actividades turísticas como estrategia de inclusión social dirigido al turismo social gerontológico donde su objetivo es analizar las actividades turísticas que funcionan como estrategia de inclusión social en el cantón Ventanas. Para esto se utilizó una investigación no experimental de corte transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo debido a que se recolectó y analizó los datos a partir de una encuesta el cual permitió captar la percepción de los adultos mayores sobre su participación en actividades turísticas, también se utilizó como población a los adultos mayores residentes en el cantón, donde fue aplicado un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, que permitió elegir a los participantes de manera no aleatoria, mediante criterios específicos como conveniencia, disponibilidad o accesibilidad, así la muestra estuvo conformada por 20 adultos mayores de la localidad del cantón Ventanas. La cual permitió realizar algunas recomendaciones como investigar y promover nuevas propuestas turísticas para adultos mayores en el cantón de Ventanas cuyos líderes locales y prestadores de servicios turísticos podrían colaborar en la búsqueda de opciones de turismo cultural, ecoturismo blando y de actividades recreativas adaptadas a las preferencias y capacidades de este grupo de personas. | es_ES |
