dc.descriptionThe contribution to youth employment provided by tourism activity is of great importance for the economy of a country to increase the number of economically active population, generating better standards of living for the population, therefore in this research the objective was established to analyze the contribution of tourism activity to youth employment to demonstrate the opportunities and challenges of both young people and employers. A quantitative approach methodology was implemented in which statistical data is collected about the youth employment rate in Babahoyo. The city's tourism companies were taken as the target population; the sample was determined by convenience in accordance with the motivations for participation of fifteen establishments interested in contributing to this research. Which they expressed through a survey that contained questions about the number of employees they have and how many of them are young, obtaining a total of sixteen workers between eighteen and twenty-five years of age, with such a low number of youth participation within the tourism activity, it is recommended that the academy look for tourism companies in Babahoyo that want to participate in the internship and pre-professional internship program, and that the municipal authorities give more promotion to public tourist attractions such as: the boardwalk, cultural events and open houses in the To expose the culture of the city, it is recommended that tourism business owners implement training programs for their employees to improve the provision of services in order to attract more clients, thus increasing the need to generate more jobs that include young people. to maintain the quality of the services offered.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa contribución al empleo juvenil que otorga la actividad turística es de gran importancia para la economía de un país para aumentar el número de población económicamente activa generando mejores niveles de vida para la población, por ello en esta investigación se estableció como objetivo analizar el aporte de la actividad turística al empleo juvenil para demostrar las oportunidades y desafíos tanto de los jóvenes y los empleadores. Se implementó una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo en la que se recopila datos estadísticos acerca de la tasa de empleo juvenil en Babahoyo. Se tomó como población objetivo a las empresas turísticas de la Ciudad, la muestra fue determinada por conveniencia de acuerdo con las motivaciones de participación de quince establecimientos interesados en contribuir en esta investigación. Los cuales manifestaron mediante una encuesta que contenía preguntas sobre la cantidad de empleados que poseen y cuántos de ellos son jóvenes, obteniendo un total de dieciséis trabajadores de entre dieciocho y veinte y cinco años edad, con un número tan bajo de participación juvenil dentro de la actividad turística se recomienda a la academia buscar empresas turísticas en Babahoyo que quieren participar en el programa de pasantías y prácticas pre profesionales, a las autoridades municipales dar más promoción a los atractivos turísticos públicos tales como: el malecón, eventos culturales y casas abiertas en las que se exponga la cultura de la ciudad, a los dueños de empresas turísticas se recomienda implementar programas de capacitación a sus empleados, para mejorar la prestación de servicios con el fin de atraer más clientes, aumentando así la necesidad de generar más empleos que incluyan jóvenes para mantener la calidad de los servicios ofrecidos.es_ES
