| dc.description | The Caluma canton is located 62 km southwest of Guaranda, capital of the Province of Bolivar. It is characterized by its temperate climate and natural environment, rich in flora and fauna, which make this place a destination not to be missed. The objective of this research work is to determine the potential of the Caluma canton for the practice of adventure tourism activities, thus reflecting the potential of the canton's territorial environment for adventure tourism. In addition, a mixed methodology of qualitative and quantitative approaches was implemented. An exploratory and descriptive research was established, using data collection techniques such as observation, surveys and interviews. Instruments such as questionnaires, observation sheets and information check sheets were used for this purpose. The results showed that the canton of Caluma has great potential for the practice of adventure tourism activities, since it has the natural resources and infrastructure necessary to carry out a wide range of activities in the area. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El cantón Caluma se encuentra ubicado en la Provincia de Bolívar, a 62 km al sur occidente de Guaranda. Caracterizado por su clima templado y su entorno natural, rico en flora y fauna, lo que hacen de este lugar un destino imperdible. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la potencialidad del cantón Caluma para la práctica de actividades de turismo de aventura, de este modo se podrá reflejar la potencialidad del entorno territorial del Cantón para la realización de turismo de aventura. Además, se implementó una metodología mixta, de enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se estableció una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, empleando técnicas de recopilación de datos como la observación, encuestas y entrevistas. Para ello, se utilizaron instrumentos como cuestionarios, fichas de observación y ficha de cotejo de información. Como resultados se pudo reconocer que el cantón Caluma tiene un gran potencial para la práctica de actividades turísticas de aventura, puesto que cuenta con los recursos naturales e infraestructura necesario para realizar una amplia gama de actividades en el lugar. | es_ES |
