| dc.description.abstract | La producción de pitahaya en Ecuador presenta un potencial significativo, pero enfrenta desafíos que afectan particularmente a las familias de escasos recursos. Por tal motivo el estudio se centro en el tema de “Gestión de desarrollo familiar en función a la producción de pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus) en el Ecuador”, donde se analizó e investigo material importante sobre la pitahaya desde sus generalidades sus derivados y las formas como las familias en el Ecuador la desarrollan. Para tal fin se siguió objetivos concretos y basado en la metodología descriptiva y documental se obtuvo como conclusión que la pitahaya es un negocio en crecimiento en las familias Ecuatorianas y que es sumamente importante que se siga explotando esta fruta que tiene muchas aperturas en diferentes mercados internacionales, siendo el único obstáculo el financiamiento que con una ayuda técnica y adecuada se resuelve siendo una fuente de ingresos sólidos en las familias ecuatorianas que les permitirá un mejor desarrollo sostenible y social que por tal motivo la producción de pitahaya en Ecuador no solo es una fuente de ingresos valiosa, sino que también tiene el potencial de diversificar la economía agrícola del país y fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo rural.
