Horses are animals that have been present in the daily activities of human beings, as a means of transport, as part of commercial development; its importance being notorious. Horses need energy and stay in a state of well-being to fulfill the functions and activities imposed, so it is essential that they are in optimal conditions to fully comply, however, the issue of lack of weight that is related to poor diet, has become focus in many studies, so the reason for this research is the intake of African palm oil, in the diet of horses, for which they will assess if there is a relationship between weight and palm oil intake.Inadequate nutrition or poor quality food is one of the main causes of low weight in horses, so it should be emphasized that they require a balanced diet that includes hay, cereals and supplements to satisfy their nutritional needs, since the lack of any of these components can cause weight loss and poor health. dc.description.abstractLos equinos son animales que han estado presente en las actividades diarias de los seres humanos, como medio de transporte, como parte del desarrollo comercial; siendo notoria su importancia.
