A peculiar scenario is presented in the field of poultry farming, specifically in the raising of Creole hens in marginal urban areas. These birds, valuable for their adaptability and resistance, face challenges related to the presence of intestinal parasites that affect their health and performance. These parasites are harmful organisms that inhabit the gastrointestinal tract of hens, compromising their welfare and, consequently, egg and meat production. The objective of this research work is to identify intestinal parasites in Creole hens in the marginal urban areas of the city of Caluma, Province of Bolivar. In the neighborhoods of El Corazón, San José and Santa Marianita. For this, a mixed experimental approach was carried out since the variables were manipulated, besides being a type of exploratory research, where the data collected was analyzed with the purpose of correlating the identification of the most prevalent parasites in these areas, as a main result it can be noted that the parasites most frequently found in chickens are Ascaridia galli, the cecal worm Heterakis gallinae and Capillarias spp, due to its high rate of cases found in all regions of Ecuador. These birds have become a very common means of production in marginal urban areas, since it provides economic stability for some families and consequently a main focus to evaluate the parasitic problems of these birds due to their late growthes_ES
