The Global Positioning System (GPS) allows for precise estimates of position, speed and time. Allowing the collection of data in real time and 24 hours a day, many farmers begin to use products derived from GPS with the aim of improving operations in their agricultural activities, achieving different benefits such as; Less wear and tear on machinery, decreased fuel consumption, decreased costs of inputs such as fertilizers, seeds and agrochemicals, in addition, it allows constant monitoring of the crop that helps detect the presence of diseases or nutritional deficiencies in time and plan production parameters. .es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente documento trató sobre sobre la importancia del uso del sistema de posicionamiento global (GPS) en la agricultura. Describir los beneficios primordiales y su eficacia. La agricultura se considera un desafío donde cada día hay mayor innovación para cubrir las diferentes necesidades que requiere el mercado agrícola. La utilización de nuevas tecnologías ayuda a producir más en un espacio limitado, optimizando la producción y disminuyendo perdidas de productos, así como mejoran los costos de producción. El sistema de posicionamiento global (GPS) permite obtener estimaciones precisas de posicionamiento, velocidad y tiempo. Permitiendo la recolección de datos en tiempo real y durante las 24 horas del día. Muchos agricultores comienzan a utilizar productos derivados del GPS con el objetivo de mejorar las operaciones en sus actividades agrícolas, logrando diferentes beneficios como; menos desgastes de las maquinarias, disminución del consumo de combustible, disminución de los gastos de insumos como abonos, semillas y agroquímicos, además, permite el constante monitoreo del cultivo que ayuda a detectar a tiempo la presencia de enfermedades o deficiencias nutricionales y planificar parámetros productivos.es_ES
