A review investigation is conducted that argues the importance of banana production systems; including its various types of propagation, that is, mainly rhizomes and children, still used in plantations mostly established in countries that are dedicated to local consumption and even in family plantations, and also through the in vitro technique, which is applied in modern way in exported bananas. This work begins with a description referring to the phenological and pheometric structures, a short characterization of the forms of propagation to which two important sections are continued, which are: Micropropagation and traditional propagation. The first section consists of the propagation by organogenic, through traditional micropropagation by semi-solid means and with greater technology by bioreactors and somatic embryogenesis. Today the culture media required during the various phases of in vitro dissemination are discussed in depth and culminated including hardening factors, as well as acclimatization and finally the transplantation to the definitive field of seedlings that were propagated by tissue cultures.es_ES
