Today there are several producers and farmers who are dedicated to its development, but many of them do not have sufficient information and knowledge to be able to bring said fruit to its highest production, causing low profitability, sustainability and at the same time a waste of resources. agrochemicals empirically causing indirect contamination to the environment altering both the fauna of beneficial insects and the microfauna found in the soil to work.
In the present, information of all kinds will be detailed, which will be compiled from various sources such as research links, magazines, scientific articles, forums, books, interviews, among others, which will explain what the appropriate tasks are during the entire cultivation process from its germination. until harvest time.

dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo trata del manejo agronómico del cultivo de pitahaya roja (Hylocereus undatus) en el Ecuador.
Hoy en día existen varios productores y agricultores el cual se dedican al desarrollo del mismo, pero muchos de ellos no cuentan con la información y conocimiento suficiente para poder llevar dicho fruto a su mayor producción ocasionando una baja rentabilidad, sustentabilidad y a la vez un despilfarro de agroquímicos de forma empírica ocasionando de forma indirecta contaminación al medio ambiente alterando tanto la fauna de insectos beneficios como la micro fauna que se encuentra en el suelo a trabajar.
En el presente se detallará información de todo tipo el cual será recopilada de varias fuentes como enlaces investigativos, revistas, artículos científicos, foros, libros, entrevistas, entre otros el cual explicara cuales son las labores adecuadas durante todo el proceso del cultivo desde su germinación hasta el momento de la cosecha.
También se hablará de la importancia del mismo dentro del país ya que hoy en día este fruto se ha ubicado como un cultivo de exportación de suma importancia tanto económica como de su amplio uso benéfico para la salud debido a un sin número de cualidades que hacen de esta fruta una de las más importantes en la dieta diaria de toda persona.
