The last decade has surprised by the visible changes in the form and structure of communication, products of advances in the field of telematics. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to investigate which are the most substantial modifications that the most influential newspapers and magazines in Ecuador have undergone in the digital field, to which they had to migrate after the demands of the information society. In response to this need, this research analyzes digital media. The objective of this research is to carry out a comparative analysis of the printed version versus the digital version of the Jaccely 2021 Magazine. In the same way, the methodology applied in this research project is a descriptive interview such as direct observation, the analysis of social networks, group interviews and the director of the media; with a qualitative approach and the bibliographical revision of the scientific investigations developed by the doctrine in the field of study of reference. The study concludes, among other things, that writing and static images continue to constitute the language of new media; Newspapers and magazines limit micro and macro browsing options; however, the interaction with the public increases due to the link that is generated between them and the issuers through social networks. Therefore, transformations are evident that imply not only the modification of formats and languages, but also the mental structures of those who build and consume information.es_ES
