dc.descriptionThe present case study focused on the ethical responsibility of the media: Case of the digital newspaper la Hora regional. Currently, ethics is considered as one that has the ability to identify good acts from bad morally speaking, the fulfillment of ethical responsibility is something that is beyond the reach of the human being. The importance of social responsibility (SR) in the media is a subject that is in constant debate inside and outside the media itself. The SR of the media is directly related to the impact that its content can have on the public or citizens. Undoubtedly the most relevant is the power that the media have in shaping public opinion. Within the research line of the Social Communication career at the Technical University of Babahoyo is the sub-line of research of the career: Deontology and Responsible Journalism. The media are the entities responsible for providing impartial information to society. Therefore, the media must have criteria of impartiality, public interest and citizen demand. The objective of this study was to analyze the ethical responsibility of the digital newspaper La Hora Regional during the year 2021. The research methodology based on a descriptive study was used. The information analyzed was through interviews with communication professionals, in order to seek information presented by the medium on this social problem. Once the case study is completed, it can be determined that the digital newspaper La Hora has responsibility and ethics.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso se centró en la responsabilidad ética de los medios de comunicación: Caso diario digital la Hora regional. Actualmente la ética es considerada como aquella que tiene la capacidad de identificar los actos buenos de los malos moralmente hablando, el cumplimiento de la responsabilidad ética es algo que está fuera del alcance del ser humano. La importancia de la responsabilidad social (RS) en los medios de comunicación es un tema que se encuentra en permanente debate dentro y fuera de los mismos medios. La RS de los medios va directamente relacionada con el impacto que pueden ocasionar sus contenidos en el público o la ciudadanía. Sin duda lo más relevante es el poder que los medios tienen en la formación de la opinión pública. Dentro de la línea de investigación de la carrera de Comunicación Social de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo: Comunicación Sustentable Aplicada a Nuevas Tecnologías y además encuentra alineado a la sub línea de investigación de la carrera: Deontología y Periodismo Responsable. Los medios de comunicación son los entes responsables de brindar información imparcial a la sociedad. Por lo tanto, los medios deben tener criterios de imparcialidad, interés público y demanda ciudadana. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la responsabilidad ética del diario digital la Hora regional durante el año 2021. Se utilizó la metodología de investigación basada en un estudio descriptivo. La información analizar fue a través de entrevistas a profesionales de la comunicación, con el fin de buscar información que presenta el medio sobre esta problemática social. Una vez concluido el estudio de caso se puedo determinar que el diario digital la Hora cuenta con responsabilidad ética.es_ES
