dc.description | This research refers to the agronomic management of avocado cultivation (Persea americana Mill) in Ecuador and the benefits it has. In the country it has an excellent adaptation, in addition to generating high profitability for the producers who are dedicated to planting this crop, the climatic conditions are favorable and it allows obtaining quality fruits that are exported to international markets. In the Ecuadorian highlands is the area where this cultivar is most developed, specifically in the provinces of Imbabura, Carchi, Pichincha, Tungurahua and Azuay. To establish this crop, each of the conditions needed to obtain higher yields and productivity must be known. It is important to properly manage the nurseries to have healthy and vigorous plants that will represent our production points throughout the year. It is of great importance to carry out the appropriate agricultural tasks such as: seedbed preparation, sowing, irrigation, nutrition, control of insect pests and diseases, harvest and post-harvest to produce quality fruits. Among the conclusions it was possible to determine that the avocado fruit has nutritional, gastronomic and cosmetic value, and therefore it is a fruit that must be cared for and given its due maintenance. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación hace referencia al manejo agronómico del cultivo de aguacate (Persea americana Mill) en el Ecuador y sus beneficios. En el país tiene una excelente adaptación, además de generar alta rentabilidad para los productores que se dedican al sembrío de este cultivo, las condiciones climáticas son favorables y permite obtener frutos de calidad que llegan a ser exportados a mercados internacionales. En la sierra ecuatoriana es la zona donde más se desarrolla este cultivar, específicamente en las provincias de Imbabura, Carchi, Pichincha, Tungurahua y Azuay. Para establecer este cultivo se deberá conocer cada una de condiciones que necesita para obtener mayores rendimientos y productividad, es importante dar un debido manejo a los viveros para tener plantas sanas y vigorosas que representaran nuestros puntos de producción durante todo el año. Es de gran importante ejecutar las labores agrícolas adecuadas como: preparación de semillero, siembra, riego, nutrición, control de insectos plagas y enfermedades, cosecha y postcosecha para producir frutos de calidad. Entre las conclusiones se pudo determinar que el fruto de aguacate posee valor nutricional, gastronómico y cosmético, y por ello es una fruta que se le debe cuidar y dar su debido mantenimiento. | es_ES |
