dc.description | The growing demand for food worldwide has been a factor of great importance in the transformation of current agricultural systems, which must maximize yields, achieving unbeatable ecophysiological conditions for crop development. Pesticides, also called pesticides, are substances intended to combat pests or pests. They arose from the need to manage populations of organisms harmful to human health, that of crops or stored fruits and that of domestic animals. To ensure that pesticide applications do not have toxic effects on people, standards have been sanctioned and procedures have been established that the manufacturers of these products must follow in order to put new active ingredients on the market or promote new applications of authorized products. Governments must implement registration and control policies and systems for pesticides and combat the illegal trade of pesticides. Associated industries must ensure the ethical and responsible management of pesticide products throughout their life cycle, from initial development, use in the field, to final disposal. It must be taken into consideration that the issue of pesticides is a complex issue, since there are countless particularities and conditions, which in one way or another make it difficult in the first place to obtain information and even more so results that in a certain way they can present. biases. dc.description.abstract | La creciente demanda de alimentos a nivel mundial ha sido un factor de gran importancia en la transformación de los sistemas agropecuarios actuales, los cuales deben maximizar los rendimientos, logrando inmejorables condiciones ecofisiológicas para el desarrollo de los cultivos. Los plaguicidas, también llamados pesticidas, son sustancias destinadas a combatir plagas o pestes. Surgieron por la necesidad de manejar poblaciones de organismos nocivos para la sanidad humana, la de cultivos o frutos almacenados y la de animales domésticos. Para asegurar que las aplicaciones de plaguicidas no tengan efectos tóxicos en la gente, se han sancionado normas y establecidos procedimientos que los fabricantes de esos productos deben respetar para poner en el mercado nuevos ingredientes activos o promover nuevas aplicaciones de productos autorizados. Los gobiernos deben implementar políticas y sistemas de registro y de control para los plaguicidas y combatir el comercio ilegal de plaguicidas. Las industrias asociadas deben asegurar el manejo ético y responsable de los productos plaguicidas a través de su ciclo de vida, desde el desarrollo inicial, el uso en el campo hasta su disposición final. Hay que tomar en consideración que le tema de plaguicidas, es un tema complejo, ya que existen un sinnúmero de particularidades y condiciones, que de una u otra manera dificultan en primer lugar la consigan de información y más aún resultados que de cierta manera puedan presentar sesgos. Es necesario recordar que estamos hablando de un campo de gran crecimiento económico debido al aumento de las plantaciones de diversos cultivos en el Ecuador, así como sensible ya que en muchos casos mafias están relacionadas con su contrabando. | es_ES |
