Enfoque de género: rol de la mujer rural en la agricultura ecuatoriana

| dc.description | Throughout the years, there has been a struggle for the position of women to maintain opportunities of participation against the male gender, since women have not always been seen as worthy of being involved in activities that were exclusively performed by men according to society. This research proposes to know what is the role of women in rural Ecuador and if gender equity is maintained in this important agricultural activity. By means of a bibliographic investigation, coming from books, articles, newspapers that gather statistics that show the current reality. The general objective of this work is to analyze the role played by rural women in Ecuadorian agriculture, as well as to describe the measures adopted in Ecuador that promote gender equality in rural areas and to substantiate the social opportunities that rural Ecuadorian women currently have. Through the analysis of information, it was possible to confirm that rural women still suffer double discrimination, due to their gender and social condition. The participation of any gender in this activity such as agriculture is of vital importance in terms of development and food security, Ecuador represents a scenario of productivity that provides many opportunities for social progress for the entire community, concluding that rural women do not have the same opportunities for social development compared to the other gender, which has limited their possibility of personal progress. | dc.description.abstract | A lo largo de los años se ha luchado por la posición de la mujer de mantener oportunidades de participación frente al género masculino, siendo que no desde siempre la mujer ha sido vista como digna de involucrarse en actividades que solo eran de exclusividad ejecutadas por hombres según la sociedad. La presente investigación plantea conocer cuál es el rol que ejerce la mujer en la ruralidad ecuatoriana y si se mantiene la equidad de género ante esta importante actividad agrícola. Mediante una investigación bibliográfica, proveniente de libros, artículos, diarios que recogen estadísticas que muestran la realidad actual. El objetivo general de este trabajo es analizar el rol que desempeña la mujer rural en la agricultura ecuatoriana, así como también describir las medidas adoptadas en el Ecuador que promueven la igualdad de género en el ámbito de la ruralidad y fundamentar las oportunidades de índole social que tiene en la actualidad la mujer rural ecuatoriana. A través del análisis de información se pudo constatar que la mujer rural aún sufre discriminación por partida doble, por su condición de género y social. La participación de cualquier género en esta actividad como lo es la agrícola es de vital importancia en términos de desarrollo y seguridad alimentaria, Ecuador representa un escenario de productividad que brinda muchas oportunidades de avances sociales para toda la comunidad, llegando a concluir que la mujer rural no presenta las mismas oportunidades de desarrollo social frente al otro género, lo que ha limitado su posibilidad de progreso personal. Las instituciones gubernamentales si bien es cierto han implementado políticas de inclusión y promoción de equidad de género, la aplicación de estas estrategias no es aprovechada en la vida cotidiana de la mujer rural. | es_ES |
