dc.description | Rice is one of the most important grasses for feeding more than half the inhabitants of the Ecuadorian population and worldwide, as well as one of the most important and extensive crops in the cultivated area in Ecuador. Nutritionally, it is the cereal that offers the most calories per hectare worldwide, in addition to the beneficial nutritional and nutritional aspects, it is a generator of employment for most of the rural population of Ecuador.
Rice production in Ecuador occurs in rainfed or winter rice cultivation and irrigation production that occurs in the summer season, the latter being considered the most important productive and that, like other crops, presents phytosanitary problems of pests including nematodes. That is why the present research has focused on the search, grouping and analysis of information and thus make known results are the damages that the root lesion nematode (Hirschmanniella oryzae) can cause that see the rice in irrigated condition.
(Hirschmanniella oryzae) is one of the most devastating pests in rice fields worldwide. Because H. oryzae is well adapted to flood conditions, it is a major problem in flooded rice ecosystems. This migratory nematode penetrates the root and migrates through the aerenchyma, completing its life cycle in about 33 days. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
