dc.descriptionPeasant family farming encompasses a wide variety of sizes and types of agricultural sectors, ranging from large mechanized farms to smallholdings of few hectares or even smaller. Within family farming production systems, input prices are high and product prices are low. Taking into account that the future growth of the world population will result in an increase in the demand for food in the short term. This fact represents an excellent opportunity to strengthen and prepare markets and trade for the products of family farmers. Agroecology and the multifunctionality of agriculture are based on the systemic, complex and interdisciplinary nature of agriculture. Agroecology promotes multifunctional agricultural practices that close biological cycles, generate synergistic relationships between the various components of the ecosystem, generate the total productivity of the productive system and rescue sustainable and culturally acceptable work for the communities. The information obtained has been made through the technique of study, synthesis and summary, in order for the reader to learn about the importance of family farming: an agroecological strategy for rural development. For the above detailed it was determined that family farming represents all agricultural activities that are linked to rural development areas. Agroecology is the answer to the need to enhance the characteristics of family agriculture and improve their productive systems. Farmers associations make it possible to improve the trends and challenges of family farming according to the political visibility of each country.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa agricultura familiar campesina abarca una amplia variedad de tamaños y tipos de sectores agrícolas, que van desde las grandes explotaciones mecanizadas a minifundios de pocas hectáreas o incluso menores. Dentro de los sistemas de producción de la agricultura familiar los precios de insumos son altos y los precios de los productos son bajos. Teniendo en cuenta que el crecimiento futuro de la población mundial tendrá como resultado un aumento de la demanda de los alimentos a corto plazo. Este hecho supone una excelente oportunidad para fortalecer y preparar los mercados y el comercio para los productos de los agricultores familiares. La agroecología como la multifuncionalidad de la agricultura se sustentan en el carácter sistémico, complejo e interdisciplinar de la agricultura. La agroecología promueve prácticas agrícolas multifuncionales que cierran ciclos biológicos, generan relaciones sinérgicas entre los diversos componentes del ecosistema, aumentan la productividad total del sistema productivo y rescatan labores sostenibles y culturalmente aceptables para las comunidades. La información obtenida ha sido efectuada por medio de la técnica de estudio, síntesis y resumen, con la finalidad de que el lector conozca sobre la importancia de la agricultura familiar: una estrategia agroecológica de desarrollo rural. Por lo anteriormente detallado se determinó que la agricultura familiar representa todas las actividades agrícolas que están vinculadas a las áreas del desarrollo rural. La agroecología es la respuesta a la necesidad de potenciar las características de la agricultura familiar y mejorar sus sistemas productivos. Las asociaciones de agricultores permiten mejorar las tendencias y desafíos que tiene la agricultura familiar de acuerdo a la visibilidad política de cada país.es_ES
