This project aims to develop a proposal for the development of agro tourism in the San Carlos parish belonging to the Quevedo Canton, whose purpose is to achieve both economic and social development for the parish. Agroturism is an activity that has been practiced abroad since the 1950s. But in Ecuador, despite being a country with excellent geographical conditions that favor it, it still needs to be exploited, because few are the places that have the facilities suitable for such activity. The San Carlos parish is a place that has an extensive natural environment used by the majority of the population for agricultural production and which has great potential to unify this activity with tourism. Throughout the investigation, different problems that impede the development of agro tourism were identified, such as: ignorance on the part of the population about Agroturism and the absence of places to carry out such activity properly. The causes that limit the management of this important activity are: the scarcity of tourism development and lack of tourism promotion among other factors that can contribute to the development of tourism linked to agriculture and obtain a sustainable and sustainable economic development. The methods that were used for the development of this project were the inductive and deductive method. The survey technique was used where it was possible to determine with 81% that people would visit the farms where agro tourism is carried out, with 42.9% that this project would preserve the natural resources of the area and 31.7% of the population considers this project as a source for economic development.es_ES
