The objective of this case study is to analyze the objectification of women in the reggaeton music video Perreo en la mesa - Faraón Love Shady, in addition to other specific objectives such as determining the connotative and denotative message of the music, describing the semiotic elements whose representation reify women and establish the effect of reifying women in audiovisual proposals for mass consumption. The information was analyzed through a qualitative method where techniques such as observation were used, which was used at the time of the video analysis, an analysis sheet and a focus group were also used where women between 21 and 23 years of age participated. The video entitled Perreo en la mesa de Faraón Love Shady turned out to be a reification of women, where in the music video two women were presented who danced in a sensual and erotic way, in addition, they wore underwear or bathing suits, which , It showed a large part of the body of the females, in which they showed their breasts, buttocks and legs. Together, the semiotic elements that were presented throughout the video constituted a large part of the objectification towards women; with this, the great impact that the music video has on young people where they acquire inappropriate behavior. In the focus group that women met for the analysis of the video, it turned out that for them there is the objectification of women from the beginning of the video to the end, and they were of the opinion that the video should not exist on any platform to eradicate the objectification of the woman. At present there is still the objectification of women and that society is taking it as something normal, and especially in young people, who are the main consumers of this musical genre.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn la actualidad determinan el valor de una mujer por su juventud y su belleza, donde los videos musicales del género reggaetón, que para algunos cantantes y músicos consideran a la mujer la esencia de dicho género, representan y convierten a la mujer como un objeto. El objetivo de este estudio de caso es analizar la cosificación de la mujer en el video musical de reggaetón Perreo en la mesa – Faraón Love Shady, además de otros objetivos específicos como determinar el mensaje connotativo y denotativo de la música, describir los elementos semióticos cuya representación cosifican a la mujer y establecer el efecto de cosificar a la mujer en propuestas audiovisuales de consumo masivo. La información se analizó a través un método cualitativo donde se utilizó técnicas como la observación, que se la utilizo al momento de análisis el video, también se utilizó una ficha de análisis y un grupo focal donde participaron mujeres de 21 a 23 años de edad. El video titulado Perreo en la mesa de Faraón Love Shady resultó ser una cosificación de la mujer, donde en el video musical se presentó a dos mujeres que bailaban de una manera sensual y erótica, además, vestían con ropa interior o de baño, lo cual, mostraba gran parte del cuerpo de las féminas, en el cual mostraban sus senos, nalgas y piernas. Conjuntamente, los elementos semióticos que se presentaron durante todo el video constituía gran parte a la cosificación hacia la mujer; con esto el gran impacto que tiene el video musical hacia los jóvenes donde adquieren un comportamiento inadecuado. En el grupo focal a quienes se reunió mujeres para el análisis del video, resultó que para ellas existe la cosificación de la mujer desde el inicios del video hasta el final, y opinaron que no debería existir el video en ninguna plataforma para erradicar la cosificación de la mujer. En la actualidad sigue existiendo la cosificación de la mujer y que la sociedad lo está tomando como algo normal, y sobre todo en los jóvenes, lo cual son los principales consumidores de este género musical.es_ES
