dc.descriptionThe case study was carried out at a point of sale of the Cruz Azul Pharmacy in the city of Babahoyo. The commercial point is dedicated to the commercialization of various pharmaceutical products and supplies; pharmacy that was influenced by the health crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, causing a significant variation in sales revenue. The objective of the case was to evaluate the economic income of the pharmacy, to know the risk factors that determine the sales income, in addition to comparing the sales of 2019-2020, and to determine the economic situation of the company. The methodology used had a quali-quantitative approach accompanied by the types of exploratory and descriptive research, which allowed to collect, analyze and interpret the information on the issue raised. The inductive and deductive methods were applied together with the techniques of interview and direct observation, through a questionnaire on human talent and the review of income. The findings were: the increase in sales from March to June; The pharmacy does not have a contingency plan for external situations, difficulties in the sales process due to excessive demand for products, inadequate inventory management and the application of sales strategies. In conclusion, the Cruz Azul Pharmacy analyzed was not prepared to meet the excessive demand for medicines as a result of the pandemic, therefore, they had to adapt to the pandemic and improve sales strategies; that is to say, turn the crisis into opportunity.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl estudio de caso se efectuó en un punto de venta de la Farmacia Cruz Azul de la ciudad de Babahoyo. El punto comercial se dedica a la comercialización de diversos productos e insumos farmacéuticos; farmacia que se vio influenciada por la crisis sanitaria generada por la pandemia Covid-19, provocando una variación importante en los ingresos por ventas. El objetivo del caso fue evaluar los ingresos económicos de la farmacia, para conocer los factores de riesgos que condicionan los ingresos por ventas, además de comparar las ventas del 2019-2020, y determinar la situación económica de la empresa. La metodología empleada tuvo un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo acompañado de los tipos de investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, que permitieron recolectar, analizar e interpretar la información de la temática planteada. Se aplicó los métodos inductivo y deductivo junto con las técnicas de entrevista y observación directa, mediante un cuestionario al talento humano y la revisión de los ingresos. Los hallazgos fueron: el incremento de las ventas desde marzo hasta junio; la farmacia no posee un plan de contingencia ante situaciones externas, dificultades en el proceso de venta por excesiva demanda de productos, inadecuada gestión de inventario y aplicación de estrategias de ventas. En conclusión, la Farmacia Cruz Azul analizada no se encontraba preparada para satisfacer la demanda excesiva de medicamentos a raíz de la pandemia, por lo tanto, se vieron en la necesidad de adaptarse a la pandemia y mejorar las estrategias de ventas; es decir, convertir a la crisis en oportunidad.es_ES
