dc.description | The cultivation of coffee is an activity of outstanding economic, social and environmental importance. Coffee in this country means income generation for coffee growers, collectors, transporters and marketers, as well as foreign exchange earnings that help boost the rural economy in producing territories. Nitrogen is essential for plant growth and high coffee production. Absorption occurs in the early phase during foliar development and flowering. Among the functions of nitrogen are: it is part of protein molecules, participates in the transfer of genetic information and in photosynthesis and experiences great mobility in the plant. Nutrient applications are highest during peak fruit productivity, typically three years and up. It is in this phase that the export of nutrients in the fruits is greatest. To carry out the execution of this document, an investigation of bibliographic information of scientific articles, web pages and digital technical manuals was carried out. dc.description.abstract | El cultivo de café es una actividad con una destacada importancia económica, social y ambiental. El café en este país significa generación de ingresos para los caficultores, acopiadores, transportistas y comercializadores, así como ingresos de divisas que contribuyen a dinamizar la economía rural en los territorios productores. El nitrógeno es esencial para el crecimiento vegetal y la alta producción de café. La absorción ocurre en la fase precoz durante el desarrollo foliar y la floración. Entre las funciones del nitrógeno están: forma parte de las moléculas de proteínas, participa en la transferencia de información genética y en la fotosíntesis y experimenta gran movilidad en la planta. Las aplicaciones de nutrientes están más altas durante la productividad pico de frutos, normalmente de tres años en adelante. Es en esa fase que la exportación de nutrientes en los frutos es más grande. Para llevar a cabo la ejecución de este documento se realizó una investigación de información bibliográfica de artículos científicos, páginas web y manuales técnicos digitales.
