This document allows us to understand that Bordeaux mixture is a compound made to combat or control bacterial and fungal diseases and various insects that affect different stages of citrus cultivation, most of them during flowering. Despite being suitable for organic farming, if copper is not applied correctly it can leach out and contaminate streams. Copper sulfate (CuSO4) combined with calcium (Ca), works well to combat diseases related to humidity, typical of areas of high rainfall. Considering that calcium neutralizes the acidity of copper by making a protective film on the leaves and fruits, this characteristic is effective as a preventive for fungi and diseases. Remembering that not all types of calcium have good absorption at the foliar level and not all the application manages to be absorbed by the leaves, but it favors mixing with copper sulfate and its resistance to washing.es_ES
