dc.descriptionThe objective of this case study is to assess the natural resources of the city of Babahoyo, determining their potential to be used at the tourist level, hierarchical ranges were established taken from the Methodological Guide for the Hierarchization of Attractions and Generation of Tourist Spaces of Ecuador (MINTUR 2017) where it was determined that the Cerro Cacharí and the Babahoyo River are considered resources. The methodology used to carry out this case study was given through descriptive research and field observation to carry out the information survey sheet with the aim of evaluating the natural resources found in Babahoyo, the Technique of interviews with officials of the Municipality of Babahoyo and the Department of Tourism, in order to gather truthful information on the current situation in which the natural resources of Babahoyo are found and what will be the use of the tourist potential that influences the increase visitors. In the main results obtained, it was identified that the resources do not have tourist facilities or security measures, while the Babahoyo River is a resource that is complemented by other attractions to take advantage of its potential, however, the river has high levels of contamination , a situation that disadvantages the city and tourism.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso se tiene como objetivo valorar los recursos naturales de la ciudad de Babahoyo, determinando sus potencialidades para ser aprovechados a nivel turístico, se estableció rangos jerárquicos tomados de la Guía Metodológica Para La Jerarquización De Atractivos Y Generación De Espacios Turísticos Del Ecuador (MINTUR 2017) donde se determinó que el Cerro Cacharí y el Río Babahoyo son considerados recursos. La metodología utilizada para la realización de este estudio de caso se dio a través de la investigación descriptiva y la observación de campo para llevar a cabo la ficha de relevamiento de información con el objetivo de valorar los recursos naturales encontrados en Babahoyo, también se implementó la técnica de entrevistas a funcionarios de la Municipalidad de Babahoyo y el Departamento de Turismo, con la finalidad de recabar información verídica sobre la situación actual en la que se encuentran los recursos naturales de Babahoyo y cuál será el aprovechamiento del potencial turístico que influye en el aumento de visitantes. En los principales resultados obtenidos se identificó que los recursos no cuentan con adecuaciones de planta turística ni medidas de seguridad, mientras que el Río Babahoyo es un recurso se complementa con otros atractivos para aprovechar su potencial, no obstante, el río presenta altos niveles de contaminación, situación que desfavorece a la ciudad y al turismo.es_ES
