dc.descriptionIn this work, the case of an adolescent who presents symptoms of anxiety will be revealed and if this emotion is influencing academic performance, it contains the research line of the career "prevention and diagnosis", and its sub-line of research " behavioral disorders and their impact on the teaching-learning process ”, for the resolution of the conflict, the psychotherapeutic approach will be worked with cognitive behavioral therapy, applying techniques such as the registration of thoughts - emotions - behavior and programming of activities. Anxiety is normal that appears when someone is in a situation of real threat, but it is not normal when it is present at times when only the mind creates that threat without an external stimulus. From the CBT psychological approach, this emotion is caused by the presence of automatic thoughts. Academic performance is the way in which the student responds to the tasks assigned within the educational area. The beneficiaries of this research were the patient and the family; the patient was relieved, without so much pressure, and the family was reassured that a member of the household remained stable. There were 6 total of psychological interviews applied, where the respective diagnosis was made: Generalized Anxiety Disorder with code F41. dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo se dará a conocer el caso de un adolescente que presenta síntomas de ansiedad y si esta emoción está influyendo en el rendimiento académico, contiene la línea de investigación de la carrera “prevención y diagnóstico”, y su sub-línea de investigación “trastornos del comportamiento y su impacto en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje”, para la solución del conflicto se trabajará con el enfoque psicoterapéutico terapia cognitivo conductual, aplicando técnicas como el registro de pensamientos – emociones – conducta y programación de actividades. La ansiedad es normal que aparezca cuando alguien se encuentra en una situación de amenaza real, pero no es normal cuando se hace presente en momentos que sólo la mente crea esa amenaza sin que haya un estímulo exterior. Desde el enfoque psicológico TCC, esta emoción es causada por la presencia de pensamientos automáticos. El rendimiento académico es la forma en cómo responde el estudiante a las tareas encomendadas dentro del área educativo. Los beneficiarios de esta investigación fueron el paciente y la familia; el paciente se sintió aliviado, sin tanta presión y la familia estaba tranquila al ver que un miembro del hogar se encontraba estable. Fueron 6 el total de entrevistas psicológicas aplicadas, en donde se realizó el respectivo diagnóstico: Trastorno de Ansiedad Generalizada con código F41.
