dc.description | The development of the case study aims to know the type of lexicon used by the newspaper Extra and the methodology used as a tabloid newspaper, in addition to its respective analysis if the right to freedom of expression found in the Organic Law is respected of Communication Art. # 17, the investigation will be developed taking as a sample headlines published during the first semester of 2020, where Ecuador like the rest of the world is suffering from a pandemic due to a virus called Covid-19, the same one that is causing a high number of deaths, in addition to this, the type of wording used by the newspaper to narrate the news will be taken into consideration, taking into consideration that in certain cases it has been censored by the SUPERCOM in 2012, 2014 and 2015 by the use of popular jargon and offensive and discriminatory words, mainly against the LGTB group. Observation cards were used for the analysis, through which it was concluded that the newspaper uses a popular lexicon bordering on a very fine line of vulgarism, which motivates its reading, arousing interest through a dramatic narrative This being precisely what places it within one of the newspapers with the highest volume of sales nationwide with more than 80,000 daily copies. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El desarrollo del caso de estudio tiene como finalidad conocer el tipo de léxico empleado por el diario Extra y la metodología utilizada como un diario sensacionalista, además de su análisis respectivo si se respeta el derecho a la libertad de expresión que se encuentra en la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación Art. #17, la investigación se desarrollara tomando como muestra titulares publicados durante el primer semestre del 2020, donde el Ecuador como el resto del mundo esta sufriendo de una pandemia por un virus denominado Covid-19, el mismo que esta causando un alto número de muertes, además de ello se tomara en consideración el tipo de redacción empleada por el diario para narrar las noticias, teniendo en consideración que en ciertos casos ha sido ha sido censurada por la SUPERCOM en los años 2012, 2014 y 2015 por el empleo de jerga popular y palabras ofensivas y discriminatorias principalmente al grupo LGTB. Para el análisis se emplearon fichas de observación, a través de las cuales se llegó a la conclusión que el diario emplea un léxico popular rozando una línea muy fina del vulgarismo, lo que motiva a su lectura, despertando el interés a través de una narración dramática, siendo esto justamente lo que lo ubica dentro de uno de los diarios de mayor volumen de ventas a nivel nacional con más de 80.000 ejemplares diarios. | es_ES |
