| dc.description | The present investigation of the written press and its influence on the cultural development of the inhabitants of the Canton Ventanas is of great interest and importance, because it understands the qualities of cultural journalism for the development of a community and at the same time the educational contribution that it can. The written press is a medium that currently does not have an adequate reception since nowadays the development and advancement of technology does not allow this medium to fulfill its role of communicating more quickly even though it was one of the first media that has contributed to communication worldwide, many times cultural information through the written press does not have the reception that it should have with great importance due to the lack of knowledge and cultural empowerment that each individual should possess, in order to this way understand the cultural values and keep the roots. Finally, the written press was one of the first means of communication that allowed readers to enjoy different activities that are immersed in their information, facilitating knowledge between cultures and the varied availability of options between: opinions, sports, chronicle, social, children's, gastronomic and advertising spaces, therefore, the importance of the written press and the dissemination of culture through it should be maintained and enhanced for a development both local, as is the case of the Canton Ventanas as well as at the national level. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Es de mucho interés e importancia la presente investigación de la prensa escrita y su influencia en el desarrollo cultural de los habitantes del Cantón Ventanas, porque comprende las cualidades del periodismo cultural para el desarrollo de una comunidad y al mismo tiempo el aporte educativo que este puede dar. La prensa escrita es un medio que en la actualidad no tiene una acogida adecuada ya que hoy en día el desarrollo y el avance de la tecnología no permite que este medio cumpla con su roll de comunicar con mayor rapidez a pesar que fue uno de los primeros medios que ha aportado en la comunicación a nivel mundial, muchas veces la información cultural a través de la prensa escrita no tiene la que acogida que debería tener con gran importancia debido a la falta de conocimientos y empoderamiento cultural que cada individuo debería poseer, para de esta manera comprender los valores culturales y mantener las raíces. Por último, la prensa escrita fue uno de los primeros medios de comunicación que permitió a los lectores disfrutar de diferentes actividades que están inmersas en sus informaciones, facilitando el conocimiento entre culturas y la variada disponibilidad de opciones entre: opiniones, deportes, crónica, sociales, infantiles, gastronómicas y espacios publicitarios, por lo tanto se debe mantener y realzar la importancia de la prensa escrita y la difusión de la cultura a través de ella para un desarrollo tanto local, como es el caso del Cantón Ventanas así como nacional. | es_ES |
