dc.descriptionThe knowledge lack about of the implementation of agronomic practices, such as pruning within the orange crop (Citrus sinensis), is more important of the factors that cause economic losses and affect production. Therefore, the present research aims to make known the positive effects when carrying out the different types of pruning and to encourage farmers to carry them out in order to increase their yields. The methodology is used for the research was through the collection of bibliographical information from books, scientific articles, web pages, magazines and technical manuals on the subject under study. It was determined that pruning is indispensable for the correct photosynthetic process of the plants, and carrying out this process will prevent the production of microclimates caused by the excess of foliage and therefore the proliferation of diseases, as well as being a host for pests. The correct pruning will help the citrus trees to produce quality fruit in the quantity desired by the producer to increase their yields in the cultivation of oranges (Citrus sinensis). Pruning in the orange (Citrus sinensis) crop should be carried out according to the season, intensity and frequency in relation to the age of the tree and its vigour. However, the type of pruning that influences directly the formation of the fruit is fruit pruning, while the other pruning methods are complementary, so that the citrus tree has an adequate formation and is kept free of diseases and pests.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl desconocimiento sobre la realización de prácticas agronómicas como la poda dentro del cultivo de naranja (Citrus sinensis), constituye uno de los factores que provocan pérdidas económicas y afectan la producción. Por lo que la presente investigación tiene como finalidad dar a conocer los efectos positivos al realizar los diferentes tipos de podas e incentivar a los agricultores a llevarlas a cabo para aumentar sus rendimientos. La metodología que se empleó para la investigación fue mediante la recopilación de información bibliográfica de libros, artículos científicos, páginas web, revistas y manuales técnicos sobre el tema estudio. Se determinó que las podas son indispensables para el correcto proceso fotosintético de las plantas, y el realizarlas evitará que se produzcan microclimas causados por el exceso de follaje y por ende la proliferación de enfermedades, y ser hospederos de plagas. Las correctas podas ayudará a los árboles del cítrico a producir frutos de calidad y en la cantidad deseada por el productor para aumentar sus rendimientos en el cultivo de naranja (Citrus sinensis). Las podas en el cultivo de naranja (Citrus sinensis) se deben de realizar de acuerdo a la época, intensidad y frecuencia en relación con la edad del árbol y el vigor. El tipo de poda que influye directamente en la producción de frutos en cantidad y calidad es la poda de fructificación, mientras que las demás podas son complementarias para que tenga una adecuada formación el árbol del cítrico y mantenerlo libre de enfermedades y plagas.es_ES
