dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación se plantea con el objetivo de diseñar una propuesta gastronómica que fortalezca el desarrollo sociocultural del cantón. Actualmente El Empalme cuenta con una afluencia de turista considerable que vienen desde diversos lugares a conocer su entorno natural, tradiciones y cultura por lo que se le ha considerado como un sitio turístico de la costa ecuatoriana a ser visitado. Se logró comprobar que la gastronomía forma parte importante de las atracciones turísticas con las que cuenta el cantón, su aceptación, sabor y buen precio influyen a que tenga una demanda considerable de la cual dependen muchos emprendimientos localizado en la zona que ofrecen una variedad de platos típicos a gusto del consumidor. Es necesario indicar que si bien es cierto la ciudad posee una amplia variedad gastronómica en los últimos tiempos la cultura y tradición de sus elaboraciones se está perdiendo siendo remplazados por la comida rápida de otros países que ofrece precios más módicos y una variedad de alimentos aun así estos no cumplen las expectativas en cuanto a sabor y valores nutricionales siendo los más afectados los más jóvenes que no conocen las ventajas que posee la comida típica de su lugar natal.es_ES
