| dc.description | The present case study raises and analyzes the cultural identity and its contribution to the tourism development of the Baba Canton Province of Los Ríos, with the purpose of promoting tourism in this place through the rescue and rehabilitation of their customs and traditions; because through this research work we try to recover the cultural identity of the Canton. Through the exploratory investigation, a direct observation of the different points of the Canton was carried out, which allowed data and information to be collected to achieve the objective of the case study. In addition, an information collection plan was used in order to facilitate the compilation of essential data, through the survey applied to the inhabitants, obtaining as a result that the Canton is a place with a rich history full of relevant events. It is important to mention that it is important to preserve their customs, traditions and values. Since the inhabitants would become aware of the importance of preserving their identity in order to spread it through tourism. That is why the development of an activity plan together with the Cantonal GAD has been taken into consideration, so that the town improves its quality of life through tourism development. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso plantea y analiza la identidad cultural y su aporte al desarrollo turístico del Cantón Baba Provincia de Los Ríos, con el propósito de promover el turismo en este lugar mediante el rescate y rehabilitación de sus costumbres y tradiciones; pues a través de este trabajo investigativo se procura recuperar la identidad cultural del Cantón. Mediante la investigación exploratorio se llevó a cabo una observación directa de los distintos puntos del Cantón lo cual permitió recabar datos e información para lograr el objetivo del estudio de caso a más de ello se utiliza un plan de recolección de información con el afán de facilitar la compilación de datos esenciales, por medio de la encuesta aplicada a los habitantes, obteniendo como resultado que el Cantón es un lugar con una rica historia lleno de acontecimientos relevantes. Cabe mencionar que es importante conservar sus costumbres, tradiciones y valores. Ya que así los habitantes tomarían conciencia de la importancia que implica conservar su identidad para poder difundirla a través del turismo. Es por ello que se ha tomado en consideración la elaboración de un plan de actividades junto con el GAD Cantonal, para que la localidad mejore su calidad de vida mediante el desarrollo turístico. | es_ES |
