| dc.description | In the last thirty years, community tourism has become an effective alternative to mass tourism, as it has proposed to prevail cultural boundaries and attract tourists in search of novelty, authenticity and the exclusive circumstance of meeting the individuals behind their folk customs, becoming more sensible and supportive, closer to the environment. The option of community tourism, despite becoming a high invention of indigenous populations, involves linking the demand of certain areas in the tourism market to develop an economic activity that, although it presents undeniable attractions for its generators, it also conceives certain instabilities and contradictions. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship that arises between community tourism and the development of the quality of life in the inhabitants of La Esperanza parish, city of Quevedo, with an exploratory study of a qualitative nature. The importance of community tourism in the La Esperanza parish was examined in bibliographic and documentary form, up to the benefits that it brings to the inhabitants, the increase in their quality of life and the conservation of ecosystems for local development. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En los últimos treinta años, el turismo comunitario se ha transformado en una eficaz alternativa al turismo de masas, ya que ha planteado prevalecer las fronteras culturales y atraer a los turistas en busca de la novedad, la autenticidad y la circunstancia exclusiva de conocer a los individuos detrás de sus costumbres folclóricas, convirtiéndose en más sensato y solidario, más cercano al ambiente. La opción del turismo comunitario, a pesar de convertirse en un elevado invento de las poblaciones autóctonas, supone enlazar la demanda de áreas determinadas en el mercado turístico para desarrollar una actividad económica que, si bien presenta atractivos innegables para sus generadores, les concibe también determinados inestabilidades y contradicciones. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación que se plantea entre el turismo comunitario y el desarrollo de la calidad de vida en los habitantes de la parroquia La Esperanza, ciudad de Quevedo, con un estudio exploratorio de carácter cualitativo. Se examinó de forma bibliográfica y documental, la transcendencia del turismo comunitario en la parroquia La Esperanza, hasta los beneficios que trae consigo para los pobladores, el incremento de su calidad de vida y la conservación de los ecosistemas para el desarrollo local. | es_ES |
