dc.descriptionThe research carried out at the Bypass Health Center in the city of Babahoyo investigates the clinical complications presented by people with diabetes mellitus problems, which are generated by inadequate feeding or resistance to adherence to non-pharmacological treatment, which It includes eating habits and lifestyle in general. Currently, people who suffer from a public health disease such as diabetes, have problems in the control of food intake and cause various complications such as Retinopathy, Nephropathy, Diabetic Foot, Hyperglycemia, among others, for this reason the objective of The research consists in determining how nutrition influences the presence of diseases derived from diabetes. The methodology of the investigative process is integrated by the deductive and inductive methods, because they allow a particular analysis of the data obtained on the analyzed variables, in addition the types of field, transversal and applied research are applied, since the study is carried out in a certain period; where direct contact is established with the sources of information that, through the application of the frequency of consumption, 24-hour reminder and survey techniques help in obtaining relevant information that allows correlating the research variables. The results obtained reveal that patients with diabetes mellitus do not follow balanced diets according to their characteristics or state of health which generate the conditions conducive to the appearance of medical complications.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa investigación realizada en el Centro de Salud Bypass de la ciudad de Babahoyo indaga sobre las complicaciones clínicas que presentan las personas con problemas de diabetes mellitus, las cuales se generan por una inadecuada alimentación o la resistencia en la adherencia al tratamiento no farmacológico, el cual engloba los hábitos alimenticios y estilo de vida en general. En la actualidad las personas que padecen de una enfermedad de salud pública como la diabetes, poseen inconvenientes en el control de la ingesta alimentaria y originan diversas complicaciones como Retinopatía, Nefropatía, Pie Diabético, Hiperglucemia, entre otras más, por tal razón el objetivo de la investigación consiste en determinar como la nutrición influye en la presencia de enfermedades derivadas de la diabetes. La metodología del proceso investigativo está integrada por los métodos deductivo e inductivo, debido a que permiten un análisis particular de los datos obtenidos sobre las variables analizadas, además se aplica los tipos de investigación de campo, transversal y aplicada, puesto que el estudio se realiza en un periodo determinado; donde se establece contacto directo con las fuentes de información que, mediante la aplicación de las técnicas frecuencia de consumo, recordatorio de 24 horas y encuesta ayudan en la obtención de información relevante que permita correlacionar las variables de investigación. Los resultados obtenidos revelan que los pacientes con diabetes mellitus no siguen dietas equilibradas según sus características o estado de salud lo cual generan las condiciones propicias para la aparición de complicaciones médicas.es_ES
